Please use the document to setup Christenson email on an Android phone.
The purpose of this setup guide is to assist you with the setup of microsoft exchange email account in an Android Mobile phone. Completion of activities in this document will require approximately30 min
a.Instructions
Before you start the setup process, you will need the following,
- Internet access in the Mobile device.
- The user’s username/Password.
b.Best Practices
- Make sure to follow the document in the exact same order of execution.
c.Setup Email in Phone
- Click the Apps icon from the homescreen window. Click on the Settings Gear Icon
- If Settings is displayed in List View mode, select Accounts under “User and Backup”, or if settings is displayed in tab view mode, Select accounts from General tab
- Once accounts is clicked, the “Add account” window shows up. Click on it. Post which you need to select “Microsoft exchange activesync” as the account type to proceed.
- Enter email address and password. However do not choose “Next” option. The Manual Setup Option should be clicked to proceed. Enter in details such as
- Email address: (your email)
- Domain\username : chr\(your username) Note: Add chr before your username
- Password: (Your Password)
- Exchange server: mail.cdlhomes.com Note: Add mail before cdlhomes.com and click “Next"
- It will show “Checking Incoming server Settings” pop up window. Wait for about 1 min. The remote security administration pop up will display automatically. Click OK to continue.
- Choose Period to sync to be 1 week. You can set to be till 1 month. Please do not change any other setting in this window. Click Next to proceed. Click on Activate on the Email confirmation Window.
- For older mobile phones, instead of the above activation screen, you might get the ones below. Just select OK for both windows.
- Make sure that your correct email address is displayed. Or you can change it to be CDLMAIL (You can name it what you prefer). Select “Done” to finish the process.
Everything is now complete! Hit the Home button to close out of all your settings screens. It will take a bit of time for email to be forwarded to your phone so wait a minute or so for the first to arrive. Press your email icon to access your email accounts.
